Kauffman’s Furniture & Appliance has been servicing Northern Michigan for over 77 years. The store was founded in 1938 as a Maytag Sales and Service business in a small garage in downtown Petoskey by Forrest Kauffman.
As time evolved, so did Kauffman’s – by moving to its current location on Charlevoix Avenue, and expanding into home furnishings with appliance sales & services. Kauffman’s Furniture & Appliance became Petoskey’s “whole home” store in 1958.
In 1974, ownership transferred to Jerry Kolinski. Today, the third generation of the Kolinski family continues to provide customers with outstanding service, great value, and top-quality home furnishings.
At Kauffman’s Furniture & Appliance, everyone is family and every house is a home.
